Choose from 4 ranges of paint colours:-

This is a thick and creamy, highly pigmented craft acrylic paint with a consistency which is just about pourable from the bottle, or can be squeezed through the tiny hole under the cap (see picture), or truly pour-able with Marabu pouring fluid.

Acrylic paint is a fast-drying paint made of pigment suspended in acrylic polymer emulsion. 

Acrylic paints are water-soluble, but become water-resistant when dry.

This acrylic paint is not, nor has ever been tested on animals and contains no animal product or derivatives.

*Important! - In the case of Crackle glaze ONLY

Because we, Penco, have had issues where buyers have either totally ignored the instructions supplied on this item, or have used it with incompatible paints, we must stress that when using the crackle glaze, you must follow the instructions on the bottle and use it ONLY with Docrafts Artiste acrylic paints.

1. BASE COAT - Paint the surface with a thick layer of Artiste acrylic paint in a contrasting colour to the intended top coat, for example black and leave to dry. Once dry add another coat and either heat, or leave to dry.

2. MIDDLE COAT - Apply a thick layer of Artiste Crackle Medium, painting up and down and then left to right over the layer of black acrylic paint and if you don't want to sit and watch paint dry, it can also be heated to dry. 

3. TOP COAT - Once the middle coat is dry, add your chosen top coat of colour of acrylic paint, such as a pale or contrasting colour, applying thickly in two directions. Drying with a heat tool is not essential, but it's likely to give a better effect and makes the cracks appear more quickly.

 The ideal heat source is the Papermania heat tool which can also be used for other crafts such as melting embossing powders, or a hot hair dryer will also help the process.

Pearl Medium

Docrafts Artiste Pearl Medium is a quick drying, water based medium for craft and decoration. It's dry to the touch in one hour. This medium is designed in the UK and can be mixed with any colour in the Artiste Craft Acrylic range to give them a Pearlised effect. The medium works on wood paper card, canvas and most surfaces that will stand still long enough. Ideal for crafts and decoration. Quick drying and water based.
